We may collect information about you in various ways when you use our app:

• Account & Sign-In Data: If you create an account, we collect credentials and identifier information including email addresses, phone numbers (for OTP verification), or social sign-in tokens (from Google, Facebook, or Apple).
• Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise or approximate location data to calculate accurate prayer times, Qibla compass directions, and local mosque locations.
• App Activity & Preferences: We collect preference settings, bookmarked items (Quran verses, Duas), and prayer completion history to sync them to the cloud for backup.
• Device & Diagnostics Data: We automatically collect device identifiers (advertising IDs, FCM tokens) and app performance diagnostics (crash logs) to ensure the stability of the application.

2. Third-Party Services We Use

We work with trusted third-party service providers who help us run and optimize the application. These services collect and process data in accordance with their own policies:

• Google Play Services & Firebase: We use Firebase Authentication to secure sign-in, Cloud Firestore to sync your bookmarks/preferences, and Firebase Analytics to analyze app crashes and stability.
• Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads): We display advertisements using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and share Device IDs (Advertising ID) and location details to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, secure, and improve our services.
• Synchronize your bookmarks, history, and preferences across your devices.
• Calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla directions.
• Send push notifications (such as Adhan reminders) via FCM.
• Analyze app bugs and performance diagnostics.
• Serve relevant ads and limit ad repetition.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide our services:

• Cloud Synced Data: Your bookmarks, preferences, and prayer completion history are securely stored in Firebase Firestore and retained until you delete your account or manually delete your bookmarks.
• Location Data: Location details are processed dynamically to calculate prayer times. Approximate locations used for ads or analytics are processed ephemerally on server endpoints.
• Device & Analytics IDs: Retained by Firebase and Google AdMob in accordance with Google's standard data policies.

5. Data & Account Deletion

You have full control over your data. You can delete your data and account at any time:

• Local App Data: You can wipe all local storage by navigating to your device's Settings > Apps > DeenDock > Storage > Clear Data.
• Requesting Data Deletion: To request manual deletion of your account or support communications, email us at support@deendock.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within 30 days.

6. Data Security

All user data transmitted between the app and Firebase is encrypted in transit using secure Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) connections. We implement industry-standard security measures to safeguard your information.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
